As a first-time property buyer, my wife and I initially approached David for seeking general information about how the process of purchasing a home works, what costs were involved and developed a budget to guide us on how much we could realistically borrow to purchase a home. David welcomed us into his office and took  us step by step through  the  process and despite the many questions we asked we couldn’t stump him -he  answered all our questions in language we could understand. David has a great knowledge of the products available and used a variety of tools to show us the outcomes of different scenarios and products in an easy to read format so that we were confident the decisions we made we the best available to us. After our first meeting it took us a while to get all our paperwork together and get an idea of what we wanted. During this time David waited patiently and did not hassle us and we respected this approach.

David has helped me increase my knowledge in the field so that not only have we gone through the process, but we have learned from it and this takes a lot of the uncertainty out of what is one of the biggest and most stressful stages of our lives.

We believe that we have got the best loan available to us and that suits or needs, and also bought a property with the confidence that we got it for a fair price. David has taken a lot of stress out of the situation and done the hard work in getting our loan approved. We have developed a good rapport with him and his support has made the process enjoyable.

David’s turnaround time and response was exceptional. Due to my wife and I both are working full time we found it difficult to get to the his office during normal business hours. As such David was happy to meet with us after work on weeknights to discuss any issues. If David could not take our phone calls he would always respond that same day, likewise with emails. Of particular help to us was when we found a property  that  we wanted to bid on at auction. David was able to get us preapproval in a tight time frame to ensure we could purchase the property if successful, for which we are very grateful.

In the middle of last year, I was referred to David Chia by a work colleague when I mentioned I was in need of refinancing both my own home loan and the loan on an investment property- both in Sydney. My mortgage broker of some 13 years was overseas indefinitely on a family crisis. My colleague and her husband had recently purchased a house interstate and David had helped them in all details of that purchase.

So, I contacted David and he was obliging enough to visit me at my place of work for our initial meeting.
